My kid went absolutely nuts over the DNA syringe part - watching the egg actually hatch after injecting it was the highlight of the whole afternoon. The scanner adds a cool layer of "investigation" that kept them engaged way longer than I expected. Definitely worth it for the reaction alone.

Hatching takes a couple of tries to get the DNA syringe lined up right, but once it clicks, the reveal is genuinely fun. My kid was impressed with the scanner identifying the hybrid they created, even if the whole thing felt slightly flimsy.
