My three-year-old gets completely absorbed placing the colored balls into the tray, and I can see her logic skills improving as she sorts them. The 35th-anniversary version feels sturdy and well-made, holding up perfectly to daily use.
The little tray holds the balls snugly, so even my 3-year-old can push them into place without frustration. It's quietly brilliant how much focus and steady-handed practice this simple design encourages—we've had it out on the table every afternoon since it arrived.
My kids have spent hours placing the colored balls into the grid, and the way each piece clicks in feels really satisfying. It's held up through dozens of play sessions, and I love watching them focus on matching patterns.
